Greater Narrative

The year is 1409 of the Dragon’s Breath calendar year. The Great Empire of Rysandril was a mighty and prosperous empire before the “Great Collapse” happened. The empire was an extremely powerful military force, and was also a center of arts, sciences, and commerce in the Greater Continent of Tyffir. The Great Collapse was a major turning point in the history of the whole continent and marked the beginning of the end. 

The Great Collapse was an explosion at the very center of the royal capital Vyn of Rysandirl, which tore apart the veil between the living world and Narakura, which is the literal embodiment of hell in the world of Tyffir. This tearing resulted in humanoid-hellish creatures descending upon the mortal realm and wreaking havoc on humankind. These humanoid-hellish creatures invaded the royal capital, and destroyed everything. They were way too powerful for any amount of magic the royal mage army could muster, and almost everyone was killed. The very epicenter of the explosion being in the castle, also destroyed the whole royal family. The Great Collapse eventually spread throughout the whole greater continent of Tyffir and humankind was reduced to people living in hiding around the world. Our main character, the princess of the kingdom Isadora, was not at the kingdom during the time, due to which she survived the blast and was not killed like the rest of the royal family. 

The events of the game take place 10 years after the Great Collapse, when humanity is now a shell of its former self. Bandits roam openly, and lay destruction to any surviving village or population centers. They loot without any remorse from the destroyed villages. The humanoid-hellish have named themselves Naraksaras (which translates to creatures from hell). The Naraksara creatures also turned out to be far more sentient and were able to run certain population centers where they treated humans like slaves and made them do their bidding. 

Isadora is now hunting for the perpetrators of her family’s demise, and how the Great Collapse even happened. She has survived countless challenges and trials, and now finds herself stranded near a river, without any memory of how she got there. She must now find clues regarding what is happening, and also a mysterious hamlet near the river, and must fight the straggler Naraksaras to get to the bottom of the truth.
